Group Synopsis
A group of friends go on a road trip to a music festival, but unfortunately, their car breaks down in a rural area, with no phone signal… One notices a small chalet park, where they meet the owner’s son, Victor. Victor tells them the park is closed for the winter, but they are more than welcome to stay in the workers room for the night. Victor welcomes them for a drink at the bar, where Lucy brings up the folktale of “Hangman”. Victor tries to encourage the fact it’s only a folk tale. Ella goes missing in the middle of the night, when she goes to get a bottle from the bar, for their chalet. Her scream, get everyone’s attention making them split up, and look for clues. Drake and Megan go to the bar to find Victor, Harry goes to look and stumbles across the old, derelict park, which raises the questions, is this really shut for winter? And if it isn’t, what has caused it to shut? Joshua discover Ella’s bracelet along with newspaper scrapings in Victor’s cabin. A figure appears in the door way, wielding a large blade….Hangman. Cuts to black. Cuts back to Joshua being dragged out of the doorway by Hangman. After the second disappearance of Josh, the group realizes that Hangman is in fact real. Torture chambers, shattered glass and abandoned accommodation are discovered. The characters try to escape the derelict park and avoid the wrath of Hangman. The trailer ends with a demonic turn of the head from Hangman before a cut to black. Fin.

Audience Mood Boards
The primary audience for our trailer will be teens aged 15-18 and young adults that are into horror films mainly based on the slasher genre. We decided this would be our target audience as they will be most likely to visit the cinema and watch our film, they are also more likely to buy DVD's and digital products. Social media and other big brands come very useful when marketing our trailer as they are different media platforms with different audiences. The mood board shows the interests and pop culture our target audience is into, this includes things like social media, gaming, cinema trips, streaming sites/apps like Netflix and Amazon. These mood board interests will help us decide how to market our trailer.
We picked several horror films that relate to our target audience. The majority being films of the slasher genre e.g. Friday The 13th and Scream. Modern horror films will also be a major subject to think about when marketing as our audience has grown up watching these modern trailers and films. These film posters on the mood board also show how we want to make our trailer gritty and scary and they represent what our film trailer is linked to. We want to create a masked character like the iconic Jason from Friday the 13th and Michael Myers from Halloween.
